These are some of SungHi's most memorable and
meaningful quotes. She always speaks her mind whether it be from
a song, public function, or magazine article. This is what makes
her so wonderful!!

"I have had offers for acting jobs for a "fee".
Most of the time, they don't come out and say that they would give
me the job for a @%^#@*&. They usually approach it by going
around the question, hinting or asking certain questions. Believe
me, you just know what they want...you can feel it."
"My favorite photo? That's tough...there are so many to choose
from. Let's see...for Playboy, I would say that my favorite set
was the milk photos. I thought it was clean and sexy all at the
same time. I think that set was one of my most popular photos to
run in Playboy. As for the site, there are so many different looks
to consider that it makes it difficult to choose! I tend to like
the photos that are really fresh and clean and girl next door. "
The actual shoots happen as follows (usually): we hire a location
manager to find us the perfect places to shoot. Since we try to
bring you new ideas and settings, we try to shoot at as diverse
a location as we can get. Lisa and her assistant arrive first to
check the location for possible spots to light and shoot. They unload
all the equipment such as cameras and lighting. I will then arrive
with makeup and wardrobe. Lisa and I like to walk around the location
to scope out our day...ie. start downstairs in the kitchen, living
room, patio, garden, etc. and then go upstairs to the bedroom, the
staircase, etc. Once we decide what we are shooting first, I go
to my wardrobe to find the perfect outfit (or the lack of!!!) and
get my makeup ready as well. While Lisa and assistant are working
on setting up the lights, I work on final touches of wardrobe and
makeup for the mood of the photo."
I guess I sort of got discovered. I used to go to this particular
nightclub a lot and eventually got to know all the owners. They
were having a fashion show and had hired an agency to find all of
the models. The owners wanted a lot of different ethnicities but
didn't like any of the Asian models who were with the agency. So
they asked me to do it. I thought it would be fun, so I did it.
One of the agents saw me and asked if I would be interested in working
with them. The rest is history!
I was 18 at the time so it's been a while since I started. Even
though I didn't initially choose this career, I really enjoy it.
I've gotten to travel and meet some great people. I wouldn't give
up my experiences for the world.
Well, I was at Ohio State University and had flown to D.C to visit
my friend, Jim. He wanted to visit a friend who was only in town
for the day so we went to the hotel for drinks. This friend happened
to be a photographer and a scout for Playboy. He wanted to take
a Polaroid of me back to Chicago headquarters. He asked if I was
interested in working with them. At first I said no. I didn't think
I could do it. If my dad found out...well, you know! For about 6
months he would call my friend Jim and ask if I had changed my mind.
I continued to say no, but a part of me wanted to do it. The most
prestigious men's magazine wanted ME! Heck, I'm going to be old
and wrinkly one day.
Well, it was a big secret between my brother and I for 5 whole
years. My family never looked at Playboy so they had no clue. That
was until my cover came out on the newsstand. I was the first full
Asian girl to be on the cover of any US Playboy Publication. This
was a very big deal with the Korean Press so articles about it started
popping up around the country. My dad saw an article in Dallas and
called me. When he asked me if it was I, I couldn't lie. I spilled
my guts...I didn't think he would take it well, but he surprised
me. He was supportive and encouraging. Now that he understands and
respects what I have chosen to do with my life, he has been even
more a part of my support system.
I have had my breasts augmented...that means enlarged...and NOTHING
ELSE. know there are rumors of my getting my eyes done, nose done,
lips done, ribs removed, etc. but none of these rumors are true.
I have always been very honest about my breast augmentation and
if I had anything else done, I wouldn't deny it. But, the rumors
continue. I guess people are always going to say something negative
about me...that's a fact I have accepted. But what bothers me more
than the rumors is the fact that people are so quick to believe
them.
